The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association popularly known as CODISSIA, was established in the year 1969. It is a Non-Profit, ISO 9001-2015 certified, one of the largest Business Membership Organisation for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in India. It has a membership of more than 6600 MSME’s from different segments. CODISSIA works for Industrial development, economic growth and prosperity of Coimbatore region. The Association has made significant contribution towards building a strong and stable industrial belt in this region and created awareness among entrepreneurs.

CODISSIA INTEC Technology Center was formed by CODISSIA with the objective to promote and create infrastructure facilities for conducting National & International Trade Fairs, Conferences, Symposiums and Exhibitions, Buyer-Seller Meets, Product Launches, Seminars & Special Meets, Corporate Events and Meetings, Weddings, Family Functions & Get-togethers. The trade fairs conducted are Intec, Agri Intex, Build Intec, Elektrotec, Subcon, RAWMAT INDIA, Edu Intec, Coimbatore Book Fair, and Coimbatore Shopping Festival. Facilities include 5 Halls, Open Air Theatre, 3 Seminar Halls, Food Court, Car Park, Material Handling Gangways, Kitchens and Kiosks; the whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
CODISSIA Industrial Parks (CIP)
CODISSIA has facilitated development of two state-of-the-art Industrial Parks within 25 km from Coimbatore city and they have come up in an area of about 400 acres. About 320 MSMEs are setting their manufacturing and service facilities with an investment of about INR 3000 Crores. These units will give direct employment for 10,000 people and indirectly to another 30,000 more.
CODISSIA Defence Innovation & Incubation Centre (CDIIC)
The innovation centre is formed for the development of Defence Prototypes, Defence Products, R&D, Certification, Testing, skill development, import substitution and will act as a catalyst in developing Coimbatore region to emerge as a Defence Manufacturing Hub. Through the Incubation Centre, many start-ups will be incubated till they graduate, who eventually would become entrepreneurs and contribute to the GDP.
